About Krieger Cabinetry

Krieger Cabinetry was born out of necessity. Having installed cabinets for many years for cabinet dealers and cabinet shops, it was clear there was a need for a small, tightly run custom cabinet shop to take on medium to small jobs efficiently. Krieger Cabinetry is dedicated to remaining a small, efficient, and “old school” cabinet shop. Building custom cabinets the same way they have been done for 50+ years. A planer, a jointer, a table saw, a router table, a band saw, a drill press, and a miter saw along with hand tools, are used to create custom cabinetry and woodworking projects to last for generations. Hardwood is not purchased pre-milled. All lumber is purchased “rough” and milled down in my shop. This ensures high quality and keeps us happy as we enjoy the work, why let someone else do it?

The modern day cabinet shop and cabinet store has become less and less about skill and craftsmanship and more about maximizing profits and production with substandard material and low workmanship standards.

Krieger Cabinetry uses only high quality material because it’s better to work with and produces a better product. Our standards are high. Our process takes longer but that is okay because we enjoy the work.

About Dan Krieger

I was born and raised in Mesa Arizona. By the time I turned 20, it was clear that hard work was a realistic solution to the mystery of how to get ahead. Unsure where to apply this newfound knowledge, I jumped from job to job. Warehouse, landscape, building sheds and barns, roofing, bouncing at nightclubs and bars. Anything physical was rewarding and enjoyable to me. Once I met my wife Nancy, I knew I had to get my act together, so I joined the Ironworkers Union local 75. I spent close to 6 years building bridges, hospitals, parking garages and office buildings. Layoffs came during the recession, and I had a family to support. I started installing cabinets and stuck with that for 13 years before opening my custom cabinet shop. I live in Tempe, I enjoy raising my kids, and working hard for myself and my family. I am not a salesman, and I appreciate the straightforward approach. Unfortunately, the cabinet business is flooded with salesman, designers, superintendents and project managers, all doing the least to get the customer the most. I am grateful to have a strong work ethic, pride in my work and solid principles to pull from in hard times. I am happy to serve my customers with high quality work, good customer service at a fair price.
